Itrisoft

Privacy Policy

Itrisoft holds your invoices, bills, bank statements and GST data. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, who can see it and the choices you have. The short version: your books are yours, we use them only to run the service, and we never sell them.

1.What we collect

We collect only what is needed to keep your books and prepare your GST data:

  • Account details: your name, email address, business name, GSTIN, state and the plan you choose.
  • Books data: invoices, quotations, purchase bills, expenses, items, stock movements, customers and suppliers that you or your team enter or upload.
  • Bank data: statements you upload, or transactions shared through account aggregator consent that you approve.
  • GST data: return data prepared in Itrisoft and supplier filings such as GSTR-2B that you choose to bring in.
  • Usage data: device type, browser, pages used and error logs, so we can keep the service working and fast.

2.How we use it

  • To run the features you use: making invoices, reading bills, matching bank entries, preparing GST data, generating e-invoices and e-way bills.
  • To improve how bills are read and how bank entries are matched for your own business, for example by remembering how you mapped a supplier's item names.
  • To send service emails such as login details, invoice delivery, reminders you have set up and important account notices.
  • To provide support when you ask for it. Support staff access your books only to answer your request.

We do not sell your data, rent it, or use your financial data for advertising.

3.AI and your data

AI features read bills and suggest bank matches inside your account. Suggestions are shown with a confidence level and nothing is posted to your books until a person approves it.

Your books data is not used to train models that are shared with other businesses. Learned preferences, such as how you categorise a recurring payment, stay within your account.

4.Who can see your books

  • You and the users you invite, with the roles you assign.
  • Your CA or accountant, if you invite them, with the access level you choose.
  • Government systems, only when you generate an e-invoice or e-way bill, using your own GST credentials.
  • Service providers who host our infrastructure and send emails, under contracts that limit their use of data to providing that service.
  • Authorities, where disclosure is required by Indian law and a valid legal request is made.

5.How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. Backups are taken daily and stored separately. Access by our staff is limited, logged and reviewed. Government API credentials are stored encrypted and are never shown in full after you save them.

6.How long we keep it

Books data is kept for as long as your account is active, so that past years remain available for audits and assessments. If you close your account, you can export your books first. Data is then deleted from active systems within 90 days and from backups within a further 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep records longer.

7.Your choices

  • Export your books at any time in Excel, PDF or Tally-compatible formats.
  • Correct your account details from settings, or ask support to help.
  • Remove a user or your CA's access at any time.
  • Withdraw account aggregator consent from your bank or the aggregator's app.
  • Ask us to close your account and delete your data.

8.Cookies

This website and the app use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms from spam and remember preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

9.Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we will email account owners before the change takes effect.
